  • How to make calls

Making calls is very simple with MO-Call. MO-Call runs discreetly in the background. When you dial an international number, MO-Call re-routes your call onto our low cost network.

    1. Minimise MO-Call
Select Minimise to run MO-Call in the background. To ensure MO-Call is always running in the background, select Settings >> Open at Start and MO-Call will always be running in the background when you switch on your phone.
    2. Dial number
Dial a number like normal or find one from your phone's phonebook.
    3. Call is connected
The Exclude Calls To field tells MO-Call which countries it shouldn't re-route calls to. By default, MO-Call will set this to the country you're in currently so that only your international calls, and not your national calls, are re-routed.
    4. Don't forget the country code!
Don't forget the country code for any number you dial. For example, a call to the UK requires the prefix +44. Full list of country codes can be found on the rates page.
  • Making Home calls

When you make a call in Home Mode, you are connected through a local number. The total call cost will be the local call plus the MO-Call standard rate. Home calls can only be made from one of the 40 MO-Call Home countries.

    1. Minimise MO-Call
MO-Call will run in the background of your phone. If you are in your Home country, MO-Call will automatically switch to Home Mode. You can check this anytime by opening MO-Call.
    2. Dial number
You dial your number just like normal from your phonebook or by directly entering it with your keypad. You'll hear a female voice telling you how much credit you have left in your account before the call is connected.
  • Making World calls

In World Mode, the app sends an SMS to request a callback. Your phone will then ring and when you answer it, the call is connected. World calls can be made in any country. If you are outside a Home country, World Mode is the only calling service available.

    1. Minimise MO-Call
MO-Call will run in the background of your phone. If you are in a country outside one of the MO-Call home countries, MO-Call will automatically switch to World Mode. If you are inside a Home country but want to use World, you can change this by opening up MO-Call.
    2. Dial number
You dial your number just like normal from your phonebook or by entering it with your keypad. MO-Call sends an SMS, which requests the callback. After a few seconds your phone rings. When you answer this call, you'll be connected automatically to the number you dialed.
    3. Specify callback number
In MO-Call, you can specify a different phone to take your call on if you wish. Making a call from a landline number is often cheaper. If you're roaming, using MO-Call to direct the callback away from your roaming mobile and taking the call on a local number will avoid roaming fees altogether. You can change the phone you receive the callback on by entering the number (including international code) in the Call Me Back At field. Leave it empty and your registered phone number will be called back by default.
